September 27 is more than a date on our calendar.
It is a day that carries both celebration and remembrance.
September 27 is Pauviera’s birthday — a day to celebrate the life of a young person whose presence brought love, joy, and meaning to her family and those who knew her.
It is also a day of remembrance. Her passing changed the course of her family’s story and became part of the journey that would eventually lead to the creation of Pauviera Youth Center, A Foundation For Teens.
Today, we celebrate her birthday by celebrating her life.
We celebrate the moments she gave us.
We celebrate the memories that remain.
We celebrate the love that continues.
And we celebrate the way her family has chosen to carry that love forward by creating opportunities for other young people.

We recognize the strength it takes for a family to continue moving forward after losing someone they love.

That is a powerful expression of love.
Every young person encouraged.
Every teenager who discovers a new opportunity.

Pauviera’s birthday gives us an opportunity not only to look back, but also to look forward.
We celebrate the life she lived.

Although Pauviera is no longer here to celebrate another birthday with us, September 27 will always be a day to say her name, remember her life, and recognize the impact her memory continues to have.
